Genetic Screening Group

Early genetic predisposition screening for hereditary Breast & Ovarian Cancer (BRCA1 & BRCA2 mutations), Sanger sequencing, SNP typing, and Nanopore long-read sequencing.

Genetic Screening & Molecular Oncology

Capabilities & testing scope.

The Genetic Screening Laboratory is structured into two dedicated divisions: the Research Division, exploring genetic and epigenetic susceptibility markers in complex non-communicable diseases such as Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, Asthma, and COPD; and the Commercial Sequencing Division, assisting clinicians, oncologists, and researchers with certified sequencing and genotyping.

Quality & Chain-of-Custody

Sample collection & submission guidelines

Adhering to correct specimen handling and preservation standards ensures reliable diagnostic accuracy and legal admissibility.

  • Sample Submission: 5 mL peripheral blood collected in sterile EDTA tubes, shipped at 4°C with complete family clinical history.
  • Pre-Test Counseling: Genetic testing for cancer predisposition should ideally be paired with pre- and post-test genetic counseling.
