Research at CEMB
The lab develops indigenous biosimilar therapeutics, recombinant proteins and PCR enzymes, and is building nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems to improve the anticancer potential of therapeutic proteins.
Laboratory overview
Research applies biotechnology to produce biosimilar drugs and recombinant human proteins — from interferons and interleukins to insulin and erythropoietin — alongside PCR enzymes and kits for research use, with a growing focus on exosome, PLGA and chitosan-based nanoparticle drug delivery.
Research programme
The programme spans discovery, laboratory validation and the development of tools and formulations for real-world use.
Development of indigenous technology and products, commercialising proteins and enzymes for research and development.
Production of advanced biosimilar therapeutics such as interferons, filgrastim and erythropoietin.
Investigating the anticancer potential of recombinant human proteins and peptides.
Exploring exosome, PLGA and chitosan-based nanoparticle systems for targeted drug delivery.
